Medical Outreach


1. Executive Summary: The medical outreach conducted on 11th January 2026 at Obantoko Abeokuta Ogun State aimed to provide primary healthcare services to the underserved population of Obantoko. The mission successfully treated 285 patients, exceeding the initial target of 150 persons. Some serious cases were refered to the Federal Medical Centre Idi Aba Abeokuta for a proper management.

2. Clinical Findings: The most prevalent conditions identified during the outreach included: Hypertension: 40% of adult patients (many previously undiagnosed). Diabetes: About 25% of adult patients who were already on oral hypoglycemic agents but had poor drug compliance due to financial and other socioeconomic factors. Malaria: Predominant in children (rapid test positivity rate of 22%). Ophthalmic Issues: High incidence of presbyopia among the elderly.


4. Team Performance: The staff (10 medics, 3 administrators) worked seamlessly to make event a success.


5. Conclusion: The day concluded at 4:00PM with a debriefing session. The team successfully provided free medication, screenings (Blood Pressure check, Blood Sugar Test, Malaria Test, Eye Test etc) and free glasses to attendees.
